Hope you are all enjoying a nice chillaxing Sunday?
Today over on the Splodgeaway blog I am hosting this weeks theme
Through the Mask
My favourite technique is layering through the masks. Inks, sprays, mediums, paint, beeswax, glitter, flakes, gilding wax.......anything i can find! In this one i created an initial background using Distress stains on Satin card stock. Swooshed over (oh I do love the sound of that word lol!!) and then spritzed and allowed to run. Once dry I added a few "splats" Then I applied distress ink through the LEAF IT mask before going back over with white acrylic paint. I then took the BIG BUTTERFLY stencil and applied a mix of white, pink, purple and metallic blue through before topping with freeform Frantage to add bling/dimension.
The swirl and sentiment are by PaperArtsy, and are avilable here. Stamped in StazOn and highlighted in white!
I'd love to know what are your favourite techniques with the Splodge masks??
Right I have something to go do.....not sure what as I cheated and have scheduled this post! So hopefully something has come up lol!!
Have a good Sunday
Crafty cheers for now
Love
Rae
