Splodgerama Primero Vez ....

Hullllooooooooo!!

Well I said I'd be back soon - Twice in 2 days eh!

Did you all catch Splodge on Create and Craft? Fab show again with Tom and Hazel don't miss them again this evening! I have split my samples into 2 lots this time and this is the 1st lot for you.

Everyone is going Zentangle crazy at the moment, Its a great way to relax and close off from stress. Lots of the Splodge masks make great templates - why don't you give it a go - Grab a mask grab a pen and Doodle away!!! The "Fabulous" card used simple patterns to add definition to the dress forms, A great way to introduce yourself to the art form!

I ADORE this little Owl mask - such a cutie and super vesatile as you will see later in the week But I am keeping this Post all clean and simple. switch up the colours and you have a great focal point for a Kiddies card!! Had great fun yesterday making some cards like this yesterday

Super subtle embossing and taking colour inspiration from Nature with this new mask - using the diamond markings as a template and cut along the line to add an interesting edge to a card that's great for all the new Post Office regulations. Interest n no extra cost to send!!

Going bright and summery and keeping the theme of clean lines I made a background sheet with distress inks Picked Raspberry, Festive Berries and Seedless Preserves then got busy die cutting before adding the "blooming paper flower" embellishments (My current fave!!Lol)

Hope you have enjoyed this glimpse - all the goodies will be available from Splodgeaway soon!
Dont forget to check back later in the week for more samples!!

Enjoy the teatime show with Tom and Hazel!!

Crafty cheers for now

Oh I do like to be beside the seaside.....

Good morning Everyone!! Yes I am still here!!

I promise I will be making up for last week's absence as there are now 4 planned Blogages over the next few days - you will be sick of me lol :-)

Well it's the 1st of the month again so that means it is time for another fab challenge from the Clarity Challenge Blog ! (here

Its summertime ( ish!!) so where better to be than the Seaside ! (well tbh I could be by the sea summer, winter, spring, fall, rain, snow or shine!! )

This is my take.....

I love postcards as memories of holidays and I have them stored and scrapped all around the house. I send them to myself as well as friends and this was behind my thinking for this piece. This started of as an unloved wooden heart board which I re vamped with lots of acrylic paint

I then set about making a collection of postcards using lots and lots of clarity beach stamps ( all available here ) They included the postcard kit, Scrabble letter kit, Shell corner, Nautilus Shell, Single shell, deckchair, beach hut, Shell cluster, Seagull, Lighthouse and the cliffs.

I wanted a modern fresh look rather than the traditional for the postcards so focused on only 3 colours, brown, pink and turquoise. All the images were coloured using Copic Markers. I added interest with different layers and textures on each postcard. The lighthouse is covered with Tim holtz Frosted Film - doesn't show up brilliantly sorry!

To keep interest I used lots of different shapes for the cards, ATC's. journalling and then customised shapes like the bucket and the diamond

This sentiment I found many moons ago, somewhere and it sums up my love affair with the sea.....just need someone to make it into a stamp........Anyone any ideas???? ;-)

I infilled the spaces with real shells - NOT my precious collection from around the globe!! - but some I picked up from a floristry stockist. Its a great way to add embellies at a reasonable cost.

So Summertime IS here and it is SO nice to be beside the Seaside.....Lets see what you can conjour up!!

Congratulations on all your fabulous entries from last months Mr & Mrs challenge and Good Luck again this month!!!

Atc's.....

Good morning all. Happy Thursday.

Things are rather busy here at the moment with quite a bit of DT work and commissions on the go. None of which I can showcase at this time - hence the gaps in posting oops!!

So this morning I decided to drop by with a few ATC's - lovely iddy biddy pieces of artylushesness!

I love creating these and I belong to several swap groups. Its lovely to receive them each month and see what everyone comes up with based around a single theme.

Earlier this year Clarity launched an ATC club and these are the samples I produced for that.....

Winter.....of course!
 ......and Romance
Colours of the Garden....

....then Springtime in Paris.....mais oui...

...finally Monochrome.

Atc's are a great way to play with new techniques and products and they can take you to whole new dimensions working so confined.

Right I am away to take a friend n his girlfriend on his Birthday trip around the Theatre of dreams!!

Have yourselves a lovely weekend if I don't get chance to pop back before then

Crafty cheers for now :-)

Alcohol inks......

Good morningly everyone!!

Today I am dropping by with some of the sample from my alcohol inks class. Lovely lovely ladies again! We spent most of the morning playing with techniques and "how to's" so we didn't quite get through everything - oh well we will just have to do a "take 2" ;-)!!

It had been a while since I used alcohol inks but the colours are SO pwetty!! I wont be away so long next time.......

Alcohol inks on everything.....card tiles, shells, paper flowers and mini canvas....(thats given me an idea....watch this space.......)
Then we went onto romantic backgrounds and using up waste/test pieces there were lots n lots of flutterbies.....

Hope you like!! Dont forget  to drop by and say Hi - I love hearing from you all!!

Blue Blue day and frame by frame........

Blue blue day,
Oh frame by frame
Drawing stories on the walls
 Sinking seconds away..........

Morning everyone!! Today I have mostly been inspired by the glorious weather we are having.....Firstly with Art Journey's fabulous stamps, pan pastels, acrylics and alcohol inks.....

.....and then my new "favourite" Clarity stamps the Lesson 18 kit!! I actually made a notelet set of these.....in 5 different monochrome colour's blue, red, green, purple and orange. There was nearly a major minor mishap when the shaving foam was picked up instead of the hairspray to fix the pastels on this one!!! Off to specsavers lol!!!

Have a great weekend in this wonderful sunshine!!! I am off to collect a few rays......

Its a beautiful Creative day...

Good morning Everyone!

I hope you are all enjoying this fabulous sunshine?? It certainly makes you feel a whole lot better about things doesn't it :-) Today I am finishing prep for my class tomorrow on Alcohol inks I'd forgotten what fabby things you can create with them!!

However first I thought I would share with you a couple of my samples from my recent articles for creative stamping/cardmaking. I was so honoured to be asked to do the articles and I had great fun - sometimes all you need is a nudge in the right direction to remind you how great an "old" technique or product is. We are always so quick to "move on" to the next big thing!!

First up from the fabulous Clarity stable is this bright summery offering...

and the second is also from the same article on kiss stamping. I love the simplicity of this design but also the "romantic" feel to the flowers - great on a wedding card too!!

Finally for today a card from the creative stamping piece using their free stamps and the foiling technique.

....very appropriate for this week!!

I hope you like these cards - thanks for checking in - Dont forget to say Hi :-)

Have a great day!

Ring O' Roses - its Challenge Time.

Good morning everyone!!!

WOW WOW and again WOW!

What another fantastic response to last months Clarity Challenge!! There are so many super talented people out there! Congratulations to you all :-)

Well its the 1st again (although summer has still yet failed to download!!) so its time for a brand new challenge over at the Clarity BLOG

This month its all about Mr and Mrs - all kinds of weddings and anniversaries. Time to dig out the old romantics in you :-) !!

I used a whole host of stamps on this months card, the small rosecarriage as seen on tv,
Health, Wealth, happiness and the medium and small lamp posts. I used the Splodgeaway Heart the lot mask to create a subtle background with the sentiment and then I created a frame by masking, repeat stamping and embossing in Wow bridal embossing powder. After cutting the frame out I water coloured the roses using Tumbled Glass distress stain. The main image is simple stamping using the different sized lamposts to create perspective. The die cut wedding bands are from Marieanne.

This design could be easily adapted to a Christmas or winter scene by switching the roses for snowflakes and the sentiment for a seasonal one

Well I hope this gives you some inspiration and good luck with this months Challenge!!
I am off to put the kettle on and get ready for Clarity on the telly

Have a great weekend everyone

Crafty cheers for now
