Some New Indigo Blu.......

Goodly moaning all!!!

I had a quick play last night with some new Indigo Blu stamps......

Carrying on the background theme from yesterday I had a lot of fun last week making loads n loads of different backgrounds in prep for Sat class. This one was a simple one using the new distress minis direct onto watercolour card which was well spritzed befor hand. 

I simply stamped onto it using my newly purchased IB goodies and a combination of Toffee and Vintage Sepia versafine, cut out and shaped.

High Legh Class results.....

Good Afternoon everybody!!!

Firstly Apologies for my lack of blogging the last 10 days - I have had a few days away from crafting to recharge the batteries and have been working on commissions and projects I am unable to share just yet!! So Sorry :-)

Anyway on Saturday I took a class at High Legh Garden Centre nr Knutsford.

We were working on creating our own backgrounds and then making them into cards....

We started with something super easy.......

....Textured acrylic onto Kraft using natural sponge.

Then we moved onto acrylic resist on Pearl card with over stamping in Archival inks...

I love all the totally different effects everyone got just from the initial technique :-) We then got REALLY messy with some distress paint marblin and dry embossin followed by sandin.

Then...... WELL he he lol!! I took everyone out of their comfort zones he he! I made them wield a brayer with lots of neon paint.....

This technique is courtesey of Ellen Smith Vargo using her Stamps for PaperArtsy (cant wait for the new ones to land this week!!!) 

Then in the afternoon.......and avoiding the Monsoon that even the Indian continent would have been proud of we used our backgrounds to make lots of cards!!

We had a lovely day - was so nice to have my first "international" visitor to class - Scott, all the way from Vancouver :-)

Faux Batik and Sheena's folders.....

Howdy doody and welcome to the weekend!!!

All my prep is finished and I am ready to hit the road for tomorrow's High Legh demo!!

Thought I'd share a couple of samples that are ready to roll using Sheena D's embossing folders which I will be showcasing there...

This sample uses the CURLY SWIRLY folder (shop HERE) and it'a a fab technique for backgrounds......

Have a hoot.....Crafter's Companion Demo Day @ High Legh, Knutsford

Good evening Bloggers!!!

What a fab evening it is finally I thinks the summer is thinking about an appearance

This week I am busy prepping for my Demo day @ High Legh, this Sat 17th May

Here is one of my sample cards using the fabulous new Spectrum Noir Pencils, the pencil blending technique and the rather cute and adoreable Wise Words stamp by Rachelle Anne Miller. (Get them HERE - and check out some of the other SUPER cutie animals :-) )

I will have these stamps, the pencils, the pens, Sheena's embossing folders and some great dies with me - Hope you can come along and say Hi and find out what all the fuss is about with these great pencils!!!

Shadow Box Class.......

Morning everyone :-)

Well - had a lovely day yesterday teaching my Shadow box class!!!

I gave the ladies this....

......and this is what they came back with ... :-)

Alison - had a fantastic finish with the black gesso n metallic acrylics

Jennifer - fantastic dimension with the butterflies!!

Christine - adored the movement with the background masking

and finally Pat's vision of Purple regalness (which was going to be teal........lol)

I love the variety in all of the makes - it's what makes crafting special to me!!!

Thanks for taking a look - hope you like them :-) The ladies were really pleased - least they said so lol!!

PaperArtsy 80th Birthday.......

Hi there Bloggers!!

Busy weekend here today I will be teaching the shadow box from the other eve's posting to some lovely ladies :-)

This morning I thought I would share a commission card ....

This is for a friend's Irish Mum's 80th Birthday - the party is today :-) I hope it goes brilliantly!! I've used Pan Pastels through a shamrock mask I cut. The stamps are both PaperArtsy - Hot Picks 1009 and 1010. They are a couple of my fave sets and here I layered them after colouring with Distress Markers and Wink of Stella's for some subtle sparkle

The numbers are from Splodgeboard and are gilded in Yorkshire Dales Megaflakes from Indigo Blu

I am really pleased with this one - I hope the recipient likes it too.

Fly by with the Artistic Stamper New stamps......

Good evening all :-)

Yay it's a finally Friday!!!! - started uber horrid here but been glorious this aftenoon...

I have been busy working on some Mag work for Creative cardmaking today and thanks to the lovely Jennie at The Artistic Stamper I had some FAB-U-LOUS new silhouette stamps to work with. They have been designed by Katy Leitch and are SOOOooooo versatile.....

I managed to grab a little time to make this up....

For this card I got busy with the old kissin' technique ...... taking a solid stamp and pressing it into another to transfer ink. For this make I used part of Lost Coast design's Moon Goddess, available here from That's Crafty to transfer a second ink colour onto Katy's stamp. I used Versafine Royal Blue and Archival Vermillion.

This card uses Katy's "Fly" stamp set, you can grab it here and check out the great Butterflies too!!

Love 'em!! Watch out for more with them next week :-) In fact I might just use this for my next card class....What do you think??

I used the headress from the moon goddess to create the patterned frame and highlighted with the Red Wink of Luna

Shadow Box class sample for High Legh.....

Good morning from Blogworld :-)

Just a quick post today to share the sample we will be making at High Legh, Knutsford this coming Saturday 10th May - so excited about this class

Sweet Poppy Stencils and Creative Cardmaking.....

Maisie's Christening.....

Good morning - hope you have a blessed Sunday

Today I have a Christening to attend - the daughter of one of my longest standing friends...

She is into all things pink and fairies so I have made this CAS card using the moon fairy from Lavinia Stamps (HERE) stamped in Spun Sugar and coloured with Wink of Stella Clear.

The sentiment is from SplodgeAway - the Wording set (HERE)

and I fixed it in place with a tiny amount of Blu Tack before sponging around in Worn Lipstick and highlighting in the Stella again.

Diamantes and ribbon finish of the clean look

Chocolate Baroque Mackintosh with a Wink of.........

Hi guys!!

Very very quick post this evening as been super busy!!

Had a quick with Wink of Luna/Stella pens and the Chocolate Baroque Mackintosh stamps.

Both pens work like watercolour so they can be layered to add depth as I have done before triple embossing. I do wish the shimmer/sparkle was easier to photo!!!

I tried!!
