Mixed media Christmas Class @ Inspirations Preston

Good Afternoon peeps.

I have been invited up to Inspirations Preston and teach a Christmas Class on November 29th 10 am until 4pm.

The class costs £25 and we will be making a selection of mixed media techniques to make some lovely Christmas cards like these

Holiday's are coming........Brusho and Chocolate Baroque Style

Good afternoon all!!

Popping by this afternoon to share a little more Chocolate Baroque.....and yes I have made a start on my Christmas cards!!!

I have kept it simple here by only using Brusho's to stamp and to colour with but adding a little subtle shimmer with my Clear Wink of Stella - a MUST have for the festive cards.

All the stamps I have used are available here I have used Winter Church (though it will cover all seasons!!!) ; The gift of Christmas and Snowy Penguins :-)

My Mind's Eye Traditional Christmas.....

Good morning and Happy Saturday!

Unusually for me I was waking just as the dawn broke today - normally I am only heading to bed at that time !! What a beautiful day it is. It is my favourite time of day - so i jumped into the car n headed off to the hills to get some early morning photos.......and the obligatory egg nog coffee to start the day :-)

Keeping in the theme of Christmas - Today's makes feature the lovely new seasonal papers from My Mind's Eye as part of an order I recently completed.

The papers where enhanced with stamps from Stamper's Anon, various dies and real holly embossed in various colours. I do love using real leaves on projects it adds something special.

Right now I am back at my desk early today and have something non-christmas to work on.

Kraft CAS Christmas

Eee up!! The weekend is upon us already!

FaireFox HQ is going to be busy working on some christmas gifts and canvas' today so I thought I'd share a couple more card makes.

I kept in mind that I needed some one layer or thin cards for our wonderful postal system for these ones!

This second one uses a Tim Holtz stamp from his Winter Wonderland set which I adore, and the border was made with a variety of snow flake punches.

Christmas is coming.....

Hi there folks - Happy Hump Day!!

Hope you are all well?

Sorry for the extended absence, had a few things on this last week. Now they are out of the way It's time to dust off the tinsel and role out the baubles for the festivities. I love this time of year - Only wish we had the big snow like Canada!

Over the next few days/weeks I will be sharing lots of short posts for christmas ideas for cards, gifts and decorations. I hope you find some fextive inspiration!! :-)

So here it goes.....

I thought I'd start with my fave colours and my own personal trend for CAS

Christmas this year

This uses die cutting waste as a centre piece and a background made from Tim Holtz stamps 

This one uses a panel that was a reject from the Winter Wonderland Printer tray from a few weeks ago.....Nothing ever needs to go to waste!!

Take One Woodware Christmas stamp......

Howdy Campers n Crafters!

Sheesh! Saturday has sneaked back around Muy Rapido this week lol!  

It is a glorious day here in Cheshire - Hope it is the same with you :-)

Today I am going to share some of those dreaded C word cards with you as there are only 10 Saturdays til it is upon us!  

Yesterday Mum and I took a trip to High Legh Garden centre for coffee and the craft shop. While we there Mum espied a card made using this stamp from Woodware

She isn't a stamper but is beginning to fancy a go. While unpacking our purchases I decided to have a practice with it.........and oops if I didn't get carried away!!

So here is my take on the one stamp challenge I gave myself last night :-)

These first two cards were coloured using the Gorjayous Wink of Stella pens - I really have fallen head over heals for their subtle glimmer factor!

To add more interest the card on the left is decoupaged - it's an ideal stamp for this as it's easy to see where needs cutting.

After this I decided to go for a slightly more glamour-unge style

This time I used Distress Inks and Distress stains to create the backgrounds (I particularly love the metallic stains for adding Christamssey shimmer :-) ) and chose to ink the stamp in parts rather than as a whole.

I hope you like my first Christmas offering - I am sure there will be more to follow - I guess it's inevitable with the silly season bearing down on us!!
