All things bright and beautiful....

Well Happy Good Friday afternoon everyone!!

Unbelievable after the last week of weather but I am actually sat out in my garden writing today's Blog !! I am lucky as it is a pretty sheltered suntrap here and doesn't need much to feel almost Mediterranean - ha ha!

So this week I have mostly been playing with houses....

This first card comes from THE fabulouso Art Houses stamp set by Sam Poole. I am totally diddly gaga about these stamps (means I likes!!!! lol).

These little Flowers are all created from the doorway of one of the stamps....

....and the bright and breezy background has been created using Acrylic paints and Splodgeaway's Pebbly mask.

Today's second offering is from the clarity stable.....

This uses the new classroom trees (with a twist!) along with Quirky cottages 1 and 2 and the Gate. The bright colours are achieved with a mix of H2O watercolours, Inktense bars and Copic markers.

The fence panels are hand drawn to finish the landscape.

I was aiming for a Clarice Cliff style but its been suggested I may of gone more " Hockney" - I'll take either!! Rofl

Well that's all for today, I hope you have lots of relaxation planned for the long Easter weekend, have a fab time whatever you are doing.

Crafty cheers for now

Love

Getting ready for Easter.....

Well here we are folks - except I shouldn't be!!! Not that I dont love y'all

I should be off to while the whole weekend away crafting in the beautiful Peak District but illness has conspired to keep me at home - still hoping I may get there for a day over the weekend but that is going to be down to mother Nature n she is threatening chaos the next 48 hrs!!

The start of spring (ha ha stop laughing now!) means Easter is right around the corner.
Our chapel along with many others practices Dressing the Cross and everyone is also given an A4 sheet marked with a cross to decorate individually.

I have entered this in the Papermill Easter challenge here

This is my offering for this year - all Clarity and my fave ribbon technique. I am going to try and do a tutorial on that in the next few weeks.

These bunnies are adoreable and versatile, they also look great on baby cards.
Well the snow is falling heavily here now - Felix is mostly sulking in the doorway and I am off to make a peppermint tea.

I hope you like  this. Stay safe this weekend folks wrap up warm and I hope you dont need to venture out too far

See you all soon

Sunday Love song......

Good Morning all and Happy Sunday !!

Today I will mostly be pottering doing much about nothing, but before I get snowed under with that hectic schedule I thought I would check in with you folks!!

The wedding season is on the horizon so I thought I would share a couple of makes with you

This first one is traditional and classic - one of the very first DT pieces I did for Splodgeaway last year. It uses an Indigo Blu stamp and I just adore this plaited ribbon technique.

This one is a recent comission for a pop up wedding card.....all hand cut n measured I'll have you know lol so if anyone wants the template n measurements drop me a line!!!

And finally something a little different - a pretty "grunge/funky" wedding card. I do love circular cards right now !!

I hope you like todays offerings - enjoy a lazy Sunday and I will see you again in the week!!

Crafty cheers and tatty byes for now

Its a NEW dawn its a NEW day......

Its a new dawn (ish!) its a new day (def!) its a new life (nah.....) and I'm feeling good...........(well I only creaked 11 times gettin up today lol!!)

Today's post comes to you courtesy of Hels Sheridan's Sunday Scrappers and one of my all time favourite songs......Its all about things New.....

Free to use any stash as long as it is new or unused (oh dear lord I'd of been crafting til the Apocalypse if I had to use the "unused" items in the craft room!!!! tut tut I know lol)  I decided on this tag....NEW technique - Pebbles to create an initial background (picture tutorial will follow hopefully next week!), NEW masks (Leaf It and Wrought Iron Gates from Splodgeaway) NEW die (Picture Wheel Bigz Die) AND finally a NEW set of stamps Timeless Sentiments from Heartfelt creations.

I think that covers the criteria then for this challenge lol!! As usual it is just lots and lots of masking and spritzing and layers and texture etc. I REALLY luuuuuuuurved this tag and I soooooooooo didnt want to send it as part of my DT for last weekends TV show lol!! Ah well I will just have to make myself a duplicate ha ha .......

Anyway I have had a morning of insecurity and inspirationless hours staring at my ART JOURNAL but the lyrics to this song have given me what I need ..... (I am relatively new to journalling but have written poetry and lyrics for years so I am trying to combine the two!!)....so to to borrow more lines

....this old world is a new world and a bold world for me, for me.....

and I am off to draw!!

Snow day and Mothers Day.......

Howdy everyone. Just popping on for a quick post today.

Some of you will know that I spent a short while on the Indigo Blu DT last year so I came up with a little something bright and breezy for mothers day using their stamps and Pan pastels.

I am havin time away from crafting today so I am going to curl up on the sofa with Felix, a hot mug of chocolate (with a little extra!!) and my spanish novel and make the old brain cell work for a while - heres hoping I can manage to understand more than one page in an afternoon!! Perfect as its just begun snowing!!

Have a good monday, stay warm and safe

Sunday Splodge...

Good grief where has Spring gone??? Back to Baltic land here......brrrrrrr

Hope you have all enjoyed today's Tool Shed on Create and Craft??. Great show as always!! Here are a couple of my samples with all the lovely new goodies.

A simple washi tape background topped with the great jigsaw pieces

This time its spritzing with dylusions and then topped with a tissue stamp of Indigo Blu's new Elizabeth Bennet painted with acrylic and Dylusions

Elizabeth's back this time just her face inside a Mineez frame with the fan tail being used to create an embossed dimension on the black background

I love clean and simple as much as getting messy and the elegant masks lend themselves to it

Another quick and simple mini card ( 4 x 4 in ) with a Mineez and Clarity Dolphin
Then to finish I have gone back to the funky and used several masks and the butterflys
I hope you enjoyed todays show!! I am off for lunch with Mum now enjoy whatever you have planned and I hope to see you back here soon

A posy Box.......

Well as suspected yet again time got away from me this week,
so apologies for the lack of postings !!

Its friday evening so a G n T has been poured and I am sat here prepping this next weeks posts.
I have been busy with DT work this week - Splodgeaway is back on Create and craft this Sunday during Tool shed......you can take a sneak peak at whats on offer here

I thought I would share this Posy box with you - I had done some wedding flowers and these were left over so I cretaed a posy for the living room then of course I needed something to pop it in so I could get my G n T glass back lol!!

I used a paper mache box and decorated it simply. After a base coat had been applied I Added further interest with heart chaped doillies and Ferro applied through a mask. I then let loose with lots of acrylic paints ( Eco and Fresco are my faves just now) in shades of greens, yellows, neutrals and a touch of pink

The box has some simple stamping over it and then is finished with diecut flowers, pearl trim and lace.

I best call it quits for now I hope you have lots planned for this Mothers Day weekend - I am off to make Mums card

Have a great weekend see you back here on Sunday

Something a little different.......

Good morning all!!
Well monday has snook up on us again! Why is is always so damn quick to come around!
I hope you had a great weekend.

Saturday in the Fairefoxes camp was spent demoing Dylusions Inks at Crab Apple Crafts in Frodsham - the home of Rosemary Merry. What a great day, very busy and I met some absolutely lovely people - messy inkaholics like me!! wasnt sure I would ever get my hands or arms clean again!!

Anyway I thought I would start this week on a totally different tack !!

Those who know me know I dont go in for a lot of cutesy images however I adore these Saturated Canary stamps. I had great fun colouring these its something I dont get a lot of time for!

This card uses mica to create the background paper on coloured cardstock.
I hope you like!!

(PS Sorry about this wonky picture my camera is playin up so it was off my phone and I never can get them straight - DOH!)

Anyway it is a very busy week at Fairefox Towers I will be catching up with crafty friends on Wednesday, plus there are other deadlines in the diary and several private comissions plus DT work for Splodgeaway as they are back on tv this weekend! So on that note I am away to mash a peppermint tea, plonk on the thinking cap, tidy the bombsite......er sorry craft room and hopefully actually get one project at least finished!!

I hope to get back here later this week but in case I dont stay safe enjoy your week.

Crafty cheers for now

Love and hugs

The top of the box was direct stamped and coloured using copic markers before all being fixed and sealed with Glue 'n' Seal
